Corner Cafe

A bilingual website for a café next to Warsaw's Central Station, built from scratch on Next.js.

Who it is for, and why

The café had no website of its own. It needed a site where guests can find the full menu with prices, sizes and dietary labels, in two languages and visible in local search.

What I built

I built the site from scratch on Next.js. Scope:

  • Site built from scratch on Next.js
  • Bilingual site, PL/EN
  • Full menu (~130 items) with sizes, prices and dietary labels
  • Bestseller carousel
  • Google reviews
  • FAQ
  • Map without tracking
  • Local SEO: structured data, hreflang, sitemap

Stack

Next.js, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript. The site's content lives in typed data, not in templates.

Outcome

The site scores 97 on mobile and 100 on desktop in PageSpeed. Lighthouse gives 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO, and axe finds no accessibility errors.

Measurement: Google PageSpeed Insights, mobile and desktop, median of 3 runs, 16 October 2026.

The product

Corner Cafe, home page on desktop: the “Corner cafe” heading, a line about coffee, breakfasts and pastries, and the buttons “See the menu” and “How to find us”.
Corner Cafe, home page on mobile: heading, opening time, two buttons and the start of the “About us” section.Corner Cafe, menu on mobile: the “Coffees” category, a size table S, M, L and prices in złoty.
